Mitsubishi officially revealed the 2009 Eclipse an "attainable exotic" with striking design, sports car handling and dazzling performance.
For 2009, Mitsubishi restyled the front and rear bumper fascias and gave the Eclipse GT model a large rear spoiler.

I don't like the new look of the front grille or the big rear spoiler, other then that it looks identical to my 2008.

 

I agree, I don't like the big spoiler either. On my 2006 I'm going to put on an aftermarket spoiler that's basically just an extension of the little lip back there...I like the lean it takes towards an Audi TT...nice rear style but without a retarded spoiler that's 50 feet in the air.

 

I do like the duel exhaust. I also wonder what they did to increase the horsepower by....2. That's a bit odd.

 

I like the way the 09 looks. They are actully making it look alot better. On an eclipse having a spoiler is a must. I didn't buy a newer style eclipse because they look like space ship cars. I think this is finally a big improvement. I wish they would build the 09 ecplise like the 3000gt car but more modern looking. That would be nice.

 

Can't agree on that. I could see a spoiler on a car if it was used for it's intended purpose but on all street legal cars there nothing but useless, just there for looks and they don't look very good.

That's one of the main reasons I bought a new one,they lookvery sleek, a spoiler would only make it look cheesy.

 

I see a striking reseemblance to the Ralliart Eclipse concept!!! I think maybe this is the setup for the release of it!!!

I think the 09' looks sweet. Definitely like the dual exhaust. Wish mine already had one =(
