I just got my headers put on my car, and noticed a HUGE difference. I have the same set up as another guy who dynoed his at 285 WHP. All I need now is a new cam, fuel tunner and could push 320+ then with the Ripp S/C maybe over 360 WHP

You if you guys want some real power out of these cars. I heard for the 4g you can do the 3000gt vr4 awd swap. haha thatd be a lot of money but there is definetly a lot of mods you can get for those cars! I was watching a record dyno pull of 1000hp. And there already established. which is good. I want a 4g so bad. Right now i have a 3000gt sl which i love but its just got a lot of problems and i dont have any money to fix it or get a new car. I wouldnt know what all would go into a 4g 3000gt vr4 swap tho. I wouldnt think it would be to hard haha but who knows. That would be sick to do tho thats for sure

I dont know about the 3000 swap, but the evo can be put in our cars. I am at 285 WHP, how much did the VR4 come with stock? the Ripp S/C stage 2 is at 387 WHP, I doubt the VR4 was higher than that

Umm i am not sure at the wheel there were running 320 at the engine and i know the stock turbos can take up to 15 psi which would put the engine around 350-380. I wil see what most stock vrs are running at the wheels and let you guys know.

I know the stock VR4 turbos were super small, smaller than stock 1G turbos, 380 hp seems a lot ofr even 2 small turbos. I think they are called 13B

Well found out they are running real low at whp but thers a lot of loss between drivetrain and weight. Stock it was 240 whp. But yea there turbos stock are running at 7psi and they have been known to take up to 15 psi. But no more on a stock turbo.

I'm thinking of getting a 4G and adding an AEM Cold Air Intake system along with a new muffler and maybe re-inforce the pistons? I have no idea if I need to do that yet, but the 4G's look REALLY nice in my opinion and I'd LOVE to drive it!

Adding a new muffler would be nice too, but I don't want it to be a loud car.

(This is kinda stupid, but someone told me getting a new muffler affects hp in someway? I feel kinda stupid because I have my doubts, but it's still nagging me at the same time. anyone wanna set me straight?)

well rarely will a catback add power but it can....it depends on how straith the piping is....some catbacks could actually hurt your power as well be blocking air flow.

the stock pipe on the GT is mandrel bent, and is like 2.3" dia. you can spend the money and get a full cat back, or you can do the axle back, which is cheaper and take the resonators out. This will save you money. Also dont go with AEM for a CAI, your just paying for a name, go with a Fujita F5, its cheaper and works just as well. IF you open up your exhaust to much you will loose bottom end power. I have a full cat back with headers, I lost some of my bottom end, but I gained alot in the top end. A guy on another forum has just implemented the AEM fuel controler. He said that he has made mad power with it. There is also cams coming out. This motor should be up to the 325 or so WHP range soon.
