Default 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport CD Player Removal

Hi all! Does anyone know how to removea CD player in my 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Sport? I was told from the dealership I need to remove the whole dash! They always say that and arewrong like with programming my alarm remote, so I'm checking here.Is that hogwash or flim flam? I just need to pull it out to install an Ipod adapter. Can someone help?

Thanks![:'(]

After I googled it, i've come to this conclusion:

First off, if your dash is set up like this then your golden.

This trim panel pops off, has 6 clips holding it in, which I have marked w/ red tally's

After its off, there are 4 screws holding down the radio.
You can handle it from there.

But now, if your dash looks like this, then I am out of ideas cause that looks beastly.

Yeah it's the latter, guess I'll be paying $35 bones which isn't bad to install my ipod adapter. The old days are gone when you could just go underneath the dash and reach the rear of the deck. Thanks!
