Default Aftermarket Cd Player

I have an 02 Lancer and am getting an aftermarket cd player for it. I've installed cd players in other cars so the wiring isnt a big deal. I was wondering how to take out the stock cd player. Do you need to take off any of the molding around the cd player, or do you need the special tool to remove it. Thanks.

radio bezel has to come out. i want to say there's a few screws on the bottom side of the bezel, then it's just pressure clips, but i'm not 100% certain.

I figured that there were some screws on the bottom, but I wasn't sure. I wanted to check before I just started ripping stuff off and breaking things. Thanks for the help.

I can't remember 100%, but I want to say there are at least 2 screws on the bottom that have to be removed, might have to remove the drivers side under dash too. Once the radio bezel is off, there's 4 screws holding the radio in. not sure if you've got the amplified system or not, but be prepared to do some serious rewireing.

Ya I just looked there was atleast two screws that I'm going to have to remove. I don't think that my system is amplified, but I'll figure that out when I get to it. I'm not to worried about that part. I was just more concerned with breaking the bezel. Thanks.

I'm really struggling with getting this CD player out. I took off the molding around the shifter, underneath the cd player, and I even took out the glove box. I'm really confused about how to get this cd player out. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

. Remove all 3 HVAC *****.
2. Unscrew 2 screws inside pocket holding it to the trim panel, both screws are inside at the top.
3. Unscrew 2 screws behind temperature **** and vent selector ****.
4. Remove trim panel around radio and HVAC controls.
5. Unscrew 4 screws holding radio in place, two on left, two on right.
6. Pull radio out.
7. Unscrew 2 screws from adapters, one on each side.

I just googled it, so hopefully its right. If you're still having troubles in a few days, lemme know and I'll see if I can get any info from work.
