Default audio problem

im installing 2 12s into my eclipse, it was all wired from the previous system with a 6 disc in the back, i dont know how thats wired, but when i hooked up my old system it didnt have a place for the bass controller so i traded systems with my friend and now im putting two 12s in but i need to figure out why the first time, when it was hooked up my amp had power and my headunit had power but the faceplate itself wouldnt turn on. i haddent ****ed with the L R imput **** yet, maybe that was turned around and effected it but do i have to wire in the 6 disc to the amp or is something else ****ed up somewhere?

Default RE: audio problem

well i fixed the headunit problem, now i have another problem. i only have power to one sub, when i connect the red plug with either of the two hookups, one of the subs will bump, but the black plug doesnt do jack ****.. does this mean i have to make a splice for the red one or is the black one ****ed up? the orignal setup was for one sub, maybe the two **** things up, but i dont have a volt meter so i cant check and see if the black wire is live.. any ideas?

You need to take your subs out of the box and see how they are wired. Are they single voice coil or dual? Is it the out put on the amp that is not working or the sub box thats not working you will have to be more clear.
