Default RE: Infinity Basslink??

I was using the Infinity Basslink in my 2000 Eclipse GT with the stock infinity radio.I have been thru many, many car system in my time and was very happy with this little subwoofer. The only problem that I had with this system is that when the radio is turned pass a certain point, the stockradio will decrease the bass response. I wouldrecommend a remote for the Subwoofer for this very purpose. As far as theBasslink, I have always had systemsthat would rattle my car apart. I was wanting to take care of the Eclipse and decided to puta small powered sub with the stock radio. I purchased the Basslink usedfor 135 dollars, thinking it was a toy, I really didn't expect much. I was very surprised at the amount of air this thing would move, even when screwed down, it would move it's plastic cabinet back and forth on the stock mounting brackets. The woofer has a pretty long throwand usesa passive radiator to tune the low frequencies. It will notblow you out of the car, butfor one 10" woofer andpassive radiator, it is pretty impressive. I really don't have anything bad to say about it.
That being said, if you plan to upgrade your entire system, you may find that it is somewhat limited on overall output. It will not keep up with a good amplifier and after market door speakers. As a add-on toa stock radio or a small after market system, it'sperfect!

* I am not sure what these things go for now, you may wantto watchE-bay and get an idea. I paid $135for mind about 3 years ago at a car stereo shop, it was a trade-in.The unit was just a tad scrached up.
