Next, i need to know what wire to tap... is it the 12 volt Battery wire or the ignition wire???

the 96 eclipse booklet doesnt state which wire is the "Remote" wire

i'm sure it's the ignition wire... your 12V power wire is always hot, so don't connect it there. When you turn over your ignition, it then powers the ignition wire, causing your amp to kick on when you have your key turned over... prevents you from running down your battery.
