remote wire

im trying to get my amp to work and the remote wire is not plugged into anything will i be able to just splice into any wire that has power? or is there a better place

There should be a blue wire coming from your cd player, that you connect it to.

well the blue wire wasnt connected and so i just took an old radar detector and hooked it up to that with it in the cig lighter is that ghetto or what. will that work temporarily? seems to be fine now it bumps

blue wire on the back of the aftermarket radio or an ACC wire on the ignition harness will work just fine

Or he could do the fuse trick, run a wire from one of the radio fuses legs to the remote spot on your amp, and it will turn it on for you with the radio.

same thing as the ACC, but what dusty said might be a little easier if you don't feel like tearing into your ignition harness and testing wires.

ya i dont really have any electric tools except to see if the wires hot so. this will work for now i just need another sub im going to type e 10 alpines. i think it should sound pretty good

for the money, they're not bad at all. i would look into a good digital multi meter, because if you poke a test light into the wrong wire (ex. ECM or factory security), the added current draw can immediatley fry the hardware.

oh snap well im glad i dont use that often just a few times i hate electircal wiring and i just hate sparks and getting electricuted lil evo is your mirage fast?
