I was looking at subs and I noticed some shallow mount subwoofers. I am looking to pick up two 10s and thought shallow mounts would help me save space. Are these any good? If so, which brands?

Shallow mount subs are inteded to fit behind regular cab truck seats. So unless you're putting these in a might max, it's essentially pointless, you'll spend as much money or more on a shallow mount than you will on a conventional speaker.
