Default speakers for a 95 gst

I am looking to install a new sound system in my ride. My head unit is fine and I have an old amp I think I will try to reuse. I would like to replace all the stock speakers and drop, at most, two 10's in the rear. Can I get something decent for like $500? Should I do a ported box for the 10's? Would a stock amp handle all this well?

Thanks

I wouldnt suggest using a ported box or bandpass, as you dont have a lot of room to play with back there, and all venting the subs will do is rattle stuff. Id suggest a pair of Infinity subs in a sealed enclosure, using a 500-800w amp. The front dash speakers are 3.5" and the doors are 6.5", the rears are 6x9s. This can all be done for under $500. You may want to hit up Ron (RCJr) on here and see if hes still selling his system from his GS. That will include everything but the dash speakers. I believe someone else is selling a full Eclipse setup on here if Rons is sold.

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't even realize there were dash speakers. Mine must be disconnected.

Theres a chance, allbeit unlikely, that you dont have dash spkrs. Its likely if the headunit has been changed.
