nonotoxicart, you really got a good deal on your outlander! I paid over 36000 CAN for mine, with the tax and such, it was 42000 soemthing.
cross bars --> you dont want to know what happen to mine! story time, LOL! when i was buying the outlander, the dealer ask me, you want any thing for the outlander (ie, spash guard, cargo trays, etc). I said I wanted cross bars. He looks it up, and said outlander's cross bars are 599 CAN. I was like WDF! But it was like a gift from the dealer, so they gave it to me but he add a few bucks more into my financing plan. After like 20 min, he said the cross bars for the outlander was 1099, the 599 was for the endurvor. I was so ****, I was about to walk away. But he was like, he will still give them for free, but again, add a few more bucks into my finianing.
So overall, on the purchase agreement, it says: Cross Bars -- $1099
After 2 months, mitsu canada mail me this information package, it was cross bars are only for 149. the mitsu websites says that too!
Im not even going to the dealer to bitch at them. They will come up with some random excuase anyways. So, cross bars are only for 149! NOT 1099!!!

oh.... I know how it is with the dealers. When I bought my Mazda 3, they tried to charge me twice for my spoiler. I got it included in my price (had to install it myself though), and then they added it as an option on the invoice, good thing I read the damn thing over (final price didn't match)!!!
Well, that is why I even bought the Outie, 40k was too much for me right now.
Was going to get it at an auction in the US and bring it over. Pay the 6.1% duty etc. Then I found a dealer that had 4 imported from the US, registered and everything. So I went to check them out...... 1 owner in Florida that had it for like 8 months and put 4000km on it.... I do that in a month. So after calculating that I'd save about 2k max doing it myself (not being able to test drive it or check its history at an auction) I bought it from the dealer.
Just call Mits Canada and explain the story to them. Ask them what to do, they will help you. Then visit the dealer, ask for the manager. If he/she sends you away. Call Mits again, tell your story and say that you won't buy another Mits again....
