Default 2002 Diamante brake problem

My 2002 Diamante has an intermittent brake problem. I have 76,000 miles on it and the brakes/rotors were replaced 15,000 miles ago. The rotors seem fine and there is plenty of fluid with no leaks. The TCL light and the ANTI LOCK lights will come on for a few minutes and then go off. The same time that is going on there is a slight growl just as I come to a stop. Not always, but maybe 5 out of10 stops. Anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance!

Thanks...not familiar with a tone ring. I assume I can pop the tires/wheels off and go searching.

You replace your brakes at 15,000 miles WOOO?

I thinkyou need replace them again. pads and rotors.

if you saw the pads are still think it doesn't mean it is still good.your steering wheel willlshake because ofwarp rotors doing 80 miles per hour.

drive it easy not fast for now if you don't want to replace the brakes.

I think that's your problem.

The abs tone ring is what the abs sensor reads, they are usually located on the end of the axle. When they crack it will intermittently set the abs light on and also activate the abs when its not needed.

If I remove each wheel can the tone rings be seen? Also, the brakes were changed out 15,000 miles ago...not when the car had 15,000 miles.

If you pull the wheels you should be able to see it pretty easily.

I jacked the car up and looked at each of the two left and right tone rings. I assume they are the toothed ring on the back side of the brake unit. (About 60 teeth or so). All looked good with no apparent damage in the area. I checked the back wheels and saw no rings.

Is there a way to clean, perhaps the sensors???

Thanks for your help!

You'll need to get it scanned to you know where really to look.
