Default 2002 Eclipse GT with a bunch of problems! HELP!!

I need help

I have a 2002 Eclipse GT..

I have really bad suspension problems when I go over a pothole its sounds like death.. I know my struts are junk but I was wondering if anything else needs to be replaced (mounts, springs, etc) or should I just buy the struts...

Wheels.. Bottom line they suck .. I get a new one, they dent.. I live in new england avoiding pot holes is not a option... Does anyone know of inexpensive rims I can get that I am not replacing all the time.. I have 17" low profile ones...

I have a new noise that is driving me mental.. Its sound like a whining noise i feel like a drain train but think it would be louder.. any ideas??

One more I have the squeaking noise (more like mental scrapping) coming outta my driver side wheel but i just did my brakes.. rotors are good... any idea??

Anything will help... I always wanted this car and I got it and I am constantly dealing with dumb issues!

As far as the struts id say thats all you have to replace unless you find something else wrong like a broken sway bar end link or something like that.

For the wheels you could look into a set of cheap stock wheels and tires from a 3g or maybe get new tires with some more meat on there. For 17's on that car to have low pro tires (40-45 sidewall) is crazy since you must have a ton of wheel gap in there. just something to think about.

As far as the sounds i dont really like diagnosing without hearing it since i really cant tell you. I would say just have someone you know that can help take a look at it or bring it some place and see if they can diagnose it for you.

Where abouts in New England you from? Im in southeastern Ma

For the suspencion noise i would first check the motor mounts those go out on eclipses specially the side ones and it makes people think its the suspencion. those are easy to change and theyre about 150 each at the dealer.
