Default 2003 Lancer - possible electrical problem?

I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ES, with 66,000 miles on it. We bought it new in 2002 and it had a transmission warranty repair around 35,000K; it had problems shifting into overdrive and the dealer corrected it without any problems. I now suspect that it may have an electrical problem. I've tried to search recalls but came up empty-handed.

Here is why I think it may be an electrical problem: About a year or so ago, the instrument panel just died; no tachometer, speedometer, gas gauge, temp, idiot lights, nothing. I had that replaced and had no problems until about 6 months ago. One of the headlights went out so I had a new pair of bulbs installed. A couple of months ago, my seatbelt indicator light went out. That was fixed but now my gas light is out and I've lost yet another headlight.

Is this a known problem? I expect to have minor repairs here and there since the car is now 6 years old, but there seems to a lot going on with this system lately.

Thanks for your input!
