I have a question on what could be causing my oil light to come on.. i changed the oil and filter.. used an engine flusher before changing the oil and then replaced with 6 qrts of oil.. the oil light is still on and it ticks and vibrates continuously.. i was told it could be the oil pump but i was wondering if anyone knew a cheaper easier to fix option..

hook a oil gauge to the engine and see what the oil pressure is hot and cold it might just be the sending unit is bad
