Default 95 Montero fusible links shorting out

Can't seem to resolve an electrical problem I'm having. I had the 60a fusible link that sits alone in the small black box that connects to positive terminal of the batter go out on me. It had a white, and a white/yellow wire mounted underneath it. I put a new fusible link in to replace it and as I went to reconnect the negative battery cable to the battery, the negative terminal immediately started shooting off sparks and of course blew out the new fusible link. In trying to trouble shoot that, I took out that fusible link and reconnected everything without it (to see if I could at least get the windows working to roll them up as the car is now strandid on the backside of a mountain), and that time, upon putting the negative cable back on, it again shot out sparks, and blew out my 100a fusible link that sits inside the relay box to the side of the battery. The only 100a fusible link I can see on the wiring diagrams shows that it's connected to the generator.

I can get all my headlights and dash lights to come on, but there is no power to the door locks or windows. Needless to say, my Montero will not start and will not roll up the windows. I can't figure out what's shorting out the circuits and causing the 60a fusible link right on the battery to blow upon reconnecting the negative cable, and then to have the 100a fusible link in the relays blow out as well.

Is anyone familiar with car electric problems of this sort and how to best diagnose and trouble shoot them and where else I need to look or what else may need to be fixed to get all the circuits right again and not have the 60a or 100a fusible links blowing out on me when I go to reconnect the negative battery cable after replacing the links? Especially on a 95 Montero?

Default Found it...

The wiring running from the fusible links on battery terminal to the back of the engine had some insulation rub off causing the wire to make contact with the engine manifold. Taped it all back up and tied it down away from the engine and everything is all good again.
