I have a 99 mit eclipse spyder gs convertible, and i had the top replaced a while ago, never had it down since it was replaced, and it is not working, question: where is the motor? i searched everywhere i cannot seem to find where the motor is, i think i found a gearbox in the trunk behind the panel, but i see no sign of a motor..could you please help me out?? thanks a lot

 

If you found the gearbox, then you found the motor too. It's built in, I strongly believe.

 

Now you have to find wires running into it and trace them back to a control module and/or relay.
