awd?!

if your car is pushing 300 hp would it be more benificial for it to be awd? or would a fwd car catch?

awd if you love your 60' times, fwd is usually lighter and therefore faster on the freeway etc. why are you asking?

i know a fwd is lighter...but im still not sure that it will catch, or just smoke the tires.

It depends on how you launch you car and how good of traction you get with your tires.

Front wheel drive is efficient to around 350 hp as long as you can properly finesse the clutch. DSMTalon is correct though. If you haven't already bought your car, go with the gsx if you are talking about 300 hp modifications. They grip like a caterpillar and have more potential for future upgrades. If you are launching from a standstill, all your weight is being transferred to the rear, if you don't have a rear axle to push you during this launch, your front wheels are going to leave pretty little black streaks tilll you manage 3rd gear. Theres just no substitute for AWD. Good luck with whatever you decide.
