An eradic idle, check engine light is on, usually idles too low. Cd player has problems when idle starts to go bad, some times dome light goes out with the bad idle.

 

check your altenator and or your battery

 

alternator wouldn't cause the rough idle though. Sounds like something fuel related to me. The alternator would probably be your best bet with the power problem, but its something else with the rough idle in my opinion.

 

if you have to jump it every time to get it to start you may have e dead cell i nth ebattery. I had the same problem in my old honda civic. took 30 seconds to put ina new battery and it ran perfect.

 

rough idle? i gotta go w/ fuel delivery on this one. radio problems? charging, have battery checked.

 

well if the alternater is bad the ecm will loose power with the radio.....if it is starving for fuel it will idle very low and rob the radio of power ...now like the old story who is the boss of you body ...the A Hole if it dont pass gas your body shuts down ....check exhaust flow put you hand by the tail pipe for starts see if it has a nice full flow of stinky air coming out .....
