Default battery positive and negative terminals

Hello everyone,

I have a right-hand drive Mitsubishi Shogun.

My problem is that I have bought a battery in another country and when I got home to change it, I discovered that the positive and negative terminals are the wrong-way round for my car.

My question is, would I be able to extend the terminal leads to make them reach the battery terminals, now on opposite sides than needed?

Thanks </P>

Topside</P>

What is NTW?</P>

I am really after converting the car cables to match the local standard on batteries here, positive on the right and negative on the left. I don't want to take the battery I had already bought back to the shop.</P>

Thanks.</P>

National tire and battery wharehouse ....... name ofthe business ... any good parts place should be able to get you a battery that fit not all batteries have the positive just on one side .....or you pulling ours legs and looking to hear turn the battery around the other way <IMG src=smileys/smiley25.gif border="0">I know that the top posts are not always centered and if you turn a battery around it moves the posts 2 -3 inches out of the way ....but like I said not all batteries have the positive on the left .... </P>

</P>

just noticed your location ...now i see why you never heard of NTW which im sorry now is NTB</P>

But in any case you can run cables as long as you wish just use good quailty cable and ends ..to add en extension cord type of deal (ad to what is there) I wouldnt suggest it</P><edited><editID>Mitsu-Tech</editID><editDate>38125.3142592593</editDate></edited>
