Well i started with a new battery, it just wont hold charge, it is an auto and when i get a jump start, it holds idle until i put it into gear, which is when it dies!! I am thinking it is either an alternator or regulator issue. I know were the alternator is but ill be buggered if i can locate the regulator!! Can any one help me?? Please.

 

Charge it up and let the car run at idle. let it sit for a few minutes then check the voltage at the battery, if its low then its the alternator.
