I am about to purchase a 1998 Montero Sport and I was wanting to know if anyone could tell me if the a/c system takes R-12 or R-134a. I understand that it could have been converted, but I want to know how it comes from the factory.

 

r12 has not been around for a long time.(80's)

so your car is prob r134a
