my friends 2000 galant was stolen and toasted by some thieves. well he wants to know if the computer which sits in the front of the engine on this car can be recovered for miles ?</P>

 

He wants the ECU, right? Well, it should be in the passenger compartment behind the dash somewhere, so if that's what you're talking about then i guess this is right. Yeah, the ECU can be recovered, It'll work on any galant with the same config as his last model. So if he had fully loaded automatic V6, then he'd need to use it in a fully loaded automatic car or else the OBD2 system will be stupid and throw out codes.</P>
