Default coolant

it is very cold here and the 3000gt seems to going through alot of coolant adding it every three days. there is no coolant on the ground or around the engine is my system compermised? coolant light comes on and sometimes it overheats

are you burning it? like does your exhaust fumes have a sweet taste to them? cuz if so you're head gaskets gone and you're gunna have to replace it and hope the heads not warped. that's all I can think of if it's not leaking

my son said he could taste a sweet taste in he garage when we had the car running how do i find out if the head gasket is bad and if it is that and not a leak that i am not finding

You would have white smoke from the exhaust...

Another old school way to tell, is to remove the radiator cap, and start teh car. If you see bubbles then the head gasket is gone. You might have to rev it a little.

or just check under the oil cap and see if there is white goop on the bottom side of it and also see if you can smell any coolant on it
