Looking to buy this '95 GSX eclipse. The current owner says this about it. Wanting to know if you guys have heard this or know what the problem is:

JDM 6 bolt full longblock Fresh JDM Rebuild (40K)
JDM 5 speed gearbox (60K)
Small "16g" Turbocharger ( brand new)
Stillen Upper Intercooler Piping
Turbo XS Blow Off Valve
Unorthodox Lightweight Flywheel, Kevlar Clutch (brand new)

"The motor is in the car, the car starts, gets fuel, spark and does drive. However, the car does not accelerate at wide open throttle. I have spoken to many Mitsubishi experts who described this problem to me as something common among these swaps and is due to the timing being set uncorrectly. I was quoted from $300-$800 to have the car running."

He did the swap because the previous motor suffered from that bad word (crankwalk)

So what do y'all think it is?

 

experts friends or experts techs for the local dealer? takin it to a local tuner shop should be between $200-$300 to properly time it. also depends on if you have the standard belt or gears.
