Has anyone had their valve stem seals replaced? I have a 97 Montero Sport that just failed NJ emissions for visible smoke from the tailpipe. After posting and reading on this forum, I am pretty confident it is the valve stem seal. It only smokes after idling for a while, then the smoke disappears.

I know this can be a 'do it yourself' job, but is seems complicated and time consuming. I know the parts are inexpensive, but I am wondering about labor. Any ideas?
