ETACS and ECU problems. Help is appreciated
Well I bought a 2008 Lancer 2.0 CVT not running but could be started and run on starter fluid. So I looked into it and spent many hours researching, learning, and troubleshooting my Lancer. The fuel pump relay on the ETACS was simply not working so I replaced it with a used ebay one as new ones are not available if they are good luck finding one. The ebay seller sent me the incorrect part number one and then after doing that sold the one he was suppose to give me even after I told him he sent the wrong one and he acknowledged that, dirt bags right. That ETACS did make the fuel pump come on. Well the car wouldnt start after that even with starter fluid but would crank. I bought another ETACS from ebay and it arrived with the correct part number but was full of corrosion, dirt, dust, rust, and water damage so big surprise it doesnt work. When I hooked that one up it sparked and my ECM under the hood stopped working, no cranking the fans run constantly, so I ordered another ECM which fixed the no cranking at that point and the fans running. I VIN WROTE EVERYTHING TO MATCH.
My Lancer still does not start. I had the key programmed by a locksmith. I have a U1417 code in the KOS system which points to the ETACS I am using which is not the damaged one but the first one I received with the incorrect part number on it. Yes I understand this is most likely the problem but as I mentioned before the correct ETACS is hard to come by new or used. I have obtained the original .KON files for both my ETACS and ECM from Mitsubishi(I work there). I have tried to use them with MMcoding writer but I get the message "Incorrect input file" when I try to use them. I then obtained ETACS Decoder which isnt very clear on how to select my .KON files I got from Mitsubishi and flash the ETACS and ECU with them. I also have MUT III and SE but I have to get the driver for my Open Port 2.0 cable before I can try it.
Not going to lie this issue is really getting under my skin. I mean putting computers in a vehicle should not be this obnoxious.

Sorry for troubles. I would recommend to use MUT3 unit. I bought one Aliexpress for a reasonable price. After that, I have no more visits to mitsu or other workshops.
Well, it is not the idea of putting computers into cars which hurts, it's a deliberate goal to make consumer unable to DIY and force us (car owners) to change the car every second year or right after warranty is gone (because cost and frequency of visiting the workshop is high). Imagine the world when instead of the OBD2 + proprietary sh*ty protocols you plug-in an USB connector and a your laptop with a free software and within seconds you get full diagnostics of the problem and suggestions how to proceed and what parts to test, clean, order and replace, and, only for very complex jobs or by used desire to visit the workshop?
Since you work at Mitsubishi, you are probably aware that other automotive brands are much much worse. With Mercede$ car you cannot even change a module/aggregate if you are not subscribed and connected to their network, with some BMVV cars as owner you are not allowed to physically open the hood. So yeah, we are accelerating on that devolution highway.
