I am a NOOB putting together my first Evo. It's an '06 IX SE with the 5 speed and the black leather shift ****. Someone stole my **** and I bought a stock replacement. But now looking at the leather shift boot I think i am missing something else. My boot just ends in a tattered leather stitched opening where the shifter linkage comes thru. Can you guys tell me what connects the boot to the ****? Am I missing an endcap or spacer or something?
