At the moment i have got a 1999 MR Lancer 1.8 litre 4 cylinder, and i was wondering what can i do to get more power at least 150 kw at flywheel i was thinking of putting a 1.8 gsr engine or chucking a turbo.....but 1993 gsr engine sits oppopsite to my engine....what engne will fit into my 1999 lancer?// PLEASE HELP...Im from Australia not much ppl here that know...everyone telling me different things

 

We had a couple of members from australia on here, not sure where they went off to. Anyways, you have a few choices of engines you can drop in. The first and probably best is the 4g63 turbo. The engine's from the evo4-evo8 and should be able to fit in nicely, and are the same arrangement as your current engine. You will need to swap out the transmissions also for that one. If you don't want to swap tranny's, you can drop in the 4g94 mivec engine.(i believe it's the 4g94, i'll have to look it up and confirm) That will get you to 160 hp, which i think is relatively close to 150kw, if not better. I'm not sure if you guys get the new mivec engines, but here in the US it comes in our ralliart lancer wagons.
