What upgrades do you recommend for a '98 Mirage 1.5L? I was thinking new air intake, new exhaust for now.

 

That stuff will usually help give the car a bit of a performance edge. What do you like doing with your car? Like, do you like red-light races, or do you prefer taking it through the corners? I'd say get a good short-shifter from a namebrand company(like B&M) if you have a manual transmission. But it's sometimes a little difficult to seacrh for parts for that car. I mean, the car has a decent sized aftermarket in Australia, Britain, an Japan, but the U.S(i'm guessing you're in the U.S.) embraces the Eclipse's and 3000GT' a bit more. However, you will be able to find plenty of performance parts if you look hard enough. Ebay is very helpful sometimes.

 

No unfortunately its an auto. I would just like to give it a little more kick, eventually i was considering putting a new engine in it (maybe a 4g63t or a 3000gt engine if it would fit) but since i dont have that money right now i'll probly just put the intake/exhaust in.
