98 eclipse,,420a motor w/ auto tranny....today i was power washing under the hood getting it all good n clean...now the fuel pump wont work and the car is stuck in 2nd gear....help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyone have any idea's???????????? ecm bad????? what do you think

 

No start at all? wait til it dries completely, check if the fuses or relays are all wet, and the ecu is to the right above the air filter box... it is always advised to be careful when washing the engine.... which reminds me,,, define power washing, rpolly you disconnected something

 

Sounds like you got water in the wrong places. let it dry out, and try again. Then disconnect the battery for an ECU reset (give it about 10 min.). Hook it back up and try again.
