ok i have a 95 gs 420a and SOMETIMES after i shut the car off it hisses like its burning off extra gas or something. i am worried because i think it is burning the valve seals. anyone know how to fix this? need to get it done as soon as possible. the car also idles low.

if the A/C is on while it does this its the remaining coolant flowing through the orifice valve. If it only lasts a few seconds, thats probably it.

 

ac is not on i am pretty sure it is fuel burning off. maybe stark plugs a fouled? its not a little hissing its LOUD you can hear it from 30 yards away. it makes the car sound like a peice of ****.

30 yards away? wow that is a loud hiss :-p it could be the extra air leaving the motor (hot air raises) cause my dads dourango does the same thing once its shut off...just not that loud bit loud enough you can hear it like 10feet away....

no there is no smoke but it sounds like what tidus10 said about hot air leaving the engine. why does it do this, and how can i fix it?

 

check the coolant resevior and see if theres anything goin on there. It sounds like your car is running really hot. Are you loosing any coolant. Check your oil cap also for white stuff
