I am in need of irgent help. When i drive my 3000GT around and i put it into gear it shakes as if the clutch were damaged but that wasn't it. My father said that it could be that the car is getting old and cant burn the 91 gas i put it, so i put in the 88 gas and it still shakes. If anyone can help PLEASE HELP. I have a 1992 3000GT with 128000 miles if that helps.

Hey i know what your going threw i have a 95 eclipse with 148,000 miles i just bought. And it does the exact same thing. I thought the clutch was damaged to. We took it to the dealer and he couldn't find nething wrong with it.

 

If you find anything out please let me know because all mitsubishi motors have something in common. and the way you fixed your might help me also

 

I guess your original deal is not looking so good.
When you say you put it in gear and it shakes, do you mean it shakes as you let the clutch out, during clutch engagment, or do you mean the engine shakes as you drive it??

 

My engine shakes during mostly acceleration....as i ease up off the clutch it does it to. Like i said the dealer found nothing wrong with mine.

 

It shakes when you lay off the clutch and also when you are driving. i tryed to determine what it could be i couldn't figure it out. i am having the same problem as eclipes27 is having. if you can help please do so. thanks

 

Don't assume the same problem. eclipse27's and enzo_hashmat2006's problems should be on different threads.

enzo_hashmat2006 - Does the car shake after the clutch is fully engaged when you put the car under load? For instance going up hill or acceleration.

 

pc- the discription that eclipse27 gave about there mitsubishi is the same thing that is occuring to mine. when you fully put it into gear it shakes, and even if you are driving there is still a large amount of shaking even when you are going 65-85 MPH. If there is anything that you know please tell me. thanks

Is it shaking or a deep vibration? If its more a vibration when the clutch is engaged then it sounds like a flywheel problem. Did you have the clutch recently replaced? did you have the flywheel resurfaced to spec for the clutch? Also If the grease that is normally applied on the pressure plate teeth and throw out bearing wears out or you dont use a good high temp grease when replacing, what your describing can happen but mostly on clutch engagement.
