Hi, I have a 2000 galant 4 cyl. When I first turn the car on, the car seems fine, but the second I put the car in drive or reverse, the shaking starts. When I actually start to move the shaking goes away. It only starts up again if I am at a red light or a stop sign. Any ideas people?

 

does it go away if you throw the car in nuetral at a stop?

 

Yes, the shaking goes away. Its rather annoying!

 

i would look into the motor mounts. One of them may be rather worn. I had this problem on my saturn before and one of the mounts was completely torn
