I cant seem to figure out why it is overheating on the motor oil. when you start the car the oil temp. just shoots up. and after a while when the water started to warm up, the temperature went down. BUT when i put it in gear the temp. goes back up. only in neutral those the temperature of the oil stay down. help

Are you talking about the oil guage on your bezel because im pretty sure thats an oil pressure guage, not an oil temp. guage

its good that you oil pressure is high = good engine internals also there is no oil temp gauge only engine temp. controled by a sensor on a housing on the engine. 420a?? assuming since GT. check your coolent level and make sure your radiator fans are woking properly. oil pressure gauge has nothing to do with oil temp.

forgot sensors on housing are probblay bad. 2 sensors right beside eachother one is 50 other is 30 at autozone. anything goes wrong with these foreign cars and it costs an arm and a leg to fix it.

First 97 Talon 420a, Second 95 Eclipse 420a, THIRD 95 4g63t GSX AWD 16G TURBO

WTF are you talking about. The 420a was on the gs and rs eclipses. Im guessing he's talking about a 3000gt.

Its gonna be your pressure relief valve guarenteed. What that is supposed to do is release some pressure when you floor it and then at idle it doesnt do anything. Its probably not opening, thus not releasing the pressure.

i have no idea on that one man, you might have to get your hands on a manual or try asking in the 300gt section here to see if anyone else knows where it is.
