Default New Motor

I just found out today that i need a new motor because i over reved the hell out of it. The connecting rod between the pistons and the camshaft is now oblong. I was hoping you all could give me some suggestions as to what motor i should get. I don't wanna sped anymore than $2500. Thanks for your help, i really appreciate it.
