Default no spark

need help
i have a 93 mirage. it was fine, shut it off for a couple minutes, and then it wouldn't start. it cranks but doesn't hit. it had no spark. i was told by a mechanic that it was the distributor. did a check on the old one and the resistance on the secondary ignition circuit was way off. got a new distributor (it checked out fine), put it on, but still no spark. not sure what else to check now. fuses look ok. do i need to check if i'm getting power to the distributor? couldn't make sense of the wiring diagram i found in my chilton's manual.

not sure if this matters but i ran for a while with a bad lower oxygen sensor and recently replaced it.

check the camshaft position sensor and the crankshaft position sensor. if you are getting no spark i would say it is the cam sensor. hope this helps

Hi at all;This car does not have craankshaft position sensor.

Skinner;If your car shows the "Check Engine" light in your dash,your problem is the ECU.It is located in the right side of the glove compartment.The ECU has three yellow plugs on it!!!!!!!!!

ECU=Computer
