Default o2 sensor wiring, need help

My buddy at work needs to hookup his upstream o2 sensor (bosch from autozone), the problem is that the previous owner cut out the wiring harness. Any help on how to wire the bosch sensor to the stock wires would be great. His is a 96 base eclipse. Needs it to pass inspection.

thanks in advance

wire it up the same way the one you take off is wired. if you already took it off then you have to obtain an electrical schematic from the shop manual for the car, either by buying one or asking the dealer nicely if you can look at it for a minute. i dont think anyone is going to have that info off hand online.

I had to replace the O2 sensor on my 95 tsi with that autozone bosch special. Problem was, the wiring harness didn't fit the stock connector. So I took the existing o2 sensor and chopped the wires on the old one and chopped the wires on the new one and spliced them together. Total hack job. The stock connector wiring was white, white, black, grey. The new bosch was black, black, white, blue. So i took an educated guess and put black to white, black to white, white to black, and blue to grey. Took it to advance autoparts to have it the codes pulled and it no longer trips the lead O2 sensor code.
