Default Oil pressure problem?

I've been having a ticking problem over 3,000 rpm. I just replaced all the lifters with the latest revisions and my car idles quieter, but the noise is the same at driving rpms. Is it possible I'm suffering from oil starvation? The oil pressure is fine at idle, but seems a little low at 3,000 rpm. It's right at the low/normal line. I do have a dent in the oil pan, right in the center of where the strainer for the pump is and I was wondering if it's possible that the pan is hitting the strainer? How close to the bottom does the strainer sit? Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, it's a '93 4G63 NT Eclipse.
