I just recently rebuilt my 4g93 in my 95 mirage ls and put the motor in all wires and plugs are in,getting fuel and spark.motor was completely run through by myself and my father who is a mechanic.It should be in time because we timed it before i put it in but i cant get it to fire,just cranks and sometimes it will stop cranking as if it hits a brick wall? any input would be great.

 

Check the timing belt... i fear disaster

 

sounds like the timing to me as well. Or a sensor thats not hooked up like the cam angle sensor.
