NOW THIS! about ready to rid of the car . Anyone know what this is? i hear that i may have a hose disconeected, or mass air flow may be bad? HELP.

usually, that indicates an evaporative vent solenoid stuck shut.
of course, it may help if you tell someone WHAT MODEL YOU DRIVE...

but the car is running fine. I dont see why the light would be on. I dont notice any slugishness at all, and the light finally went off after 5 days

the light comes on anytime ANYTHING raises the emission level of the car. it often wont have any noticable performance issues at all, as is the case with the evaporative emission system.

it might have just been an isolated incedent that through the code. But like he said it probably got stuck. My guess is that wont be the last of that code you see.
