Default PULLEY & BELT QUESTION / PROBLEM

ok i have a 1g talon which is just like my eclipse and i have gone through 5 belts in the past 2-3 months. i tighten them properly, but after a while the belt just starts squeeling. i installed a aftermarket volt meter gueage to read the voltage correcty. i run the car so i can adjust the belt so it stops squeeling and the volts read in the right range. it will be fine for about 3-4 weeks then i look under the hood and i see belt dust all over. if i loosen it anymore it will squeel and the alternator wont charge but if i tighten it up anymore it will burn up and break. what do you guys sugest i do?

also i was wondering if a bad waterpump bearing could be the problem why there is so much friction?

all your guys's help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not familiar with your particular application, but it sounds to me like something is out of balance, whether it is a pulley or a bearing I'm not sure. Does everything look true while it's running?

yeah everything looks to be turning fine. all the pulleys look normal with now shaking or vibration.
