Question about Body Kit

![Question](https://mitsubishiforum.com/forum/images/icons/icon5.gif)
My question is, is it worth it?
What I'm worried about isn't buying the kit, it's spending the money having it installed and painted properly. How much would those two things set me back?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, guys

It really depends on the kit. Is it fibreglass or urethane? How good is the fitment? Poor fitment will require work to look good and that can cost. I would guess (it has been 5 years since my WW kit and it was only a lip kit but I would say budget 2500 for good install and paint. Again it really depends on the kit. That determines the amount of prep for fitment and paint.

Thank you for your reply. You bring up some good points.
I think i'm going to attempt installing the kit myself though. A little nervous about that but, i like to think i could pull it off. I have an extreme attention to detail so, I wont be driving it out of the garage unless it looks perfect. Also, a friend of mine says he can help me with it. He has an eclipse like me and has had to install and remove his kit multiple times.. says its fairly simple.
But do i paint the parts individually before installation or after? I would think before but, I've never done this before. And how much would the paint job me, minus installation?

I believe the correct procedure would be to fit the kit and do any cosmetic trimming body work then remove and paint. Then reinstall carefully. If it is urethane make sure it has the flex agent added to the paint. Someone with experience will be a huge help. Honestly I had the front bumper off my eclipse many times for various reasons and it is not that difficult so actually adding the kit should not be hard. I would guess 1200 for paint but depends on number of pieces, type of paint etc. I only paid 400 for the lip but it was a friend and I didn't mind some orange peel on it.
Best of luck.
Best of luck.
