Searched the forum & didn't find any posts on this question.

My neighbor asked me to replace the broken power antenna on her 2002 Diamante with a "universal" (unpowered) one she purchased, which has several yards of coax welded to it. I don't anticipate any problems with the antenna itself, but am wondering how to run the coax from the rear quarter panel to the radio:

1. what path does the coax take from the trunk to the radio? (is it going to be a total pain in the ***??)
2. how much trouble is accessing the back panel of the radio? (remove radio or access thru dash?)

I have 25 years of automotive mechanics experience - but it's limited to powertrain & suspension (no interior work). I've only installed a half-dozen radios and they were pretty straightforward. Bottom line is I don't want to start this project if it means ripping the interior apart, removing carpet, panels, seats, etc.
