Default small hole in valve cover???

Hey guys, I just bought my daughter a 1997 2.0 eclipse with a turbo. As I was looking at the engine, I found a small hole on the front of the valve cover close to the Timing Belt Cover. It's about an 1/8th inch. what's this for????

Thanks, Jim

breather?
Is it threaded for a screw?
Is it just a moulding mark?

Hey guys, I figured it out. It's a small drain for the spark plug area. If you wash off your engine and get a little bit of water under the spark plug cover, it'll drain the water. Thank you guys for responding!

That is not a car for little girls, it requires ONLY 93 octane and ONLY synthetic oil.

Without those two things, you'll be sorry very quickly.
