Start trouble with Lancer EVO8
Hi all !
Sorry for my bad english writing (I live in France)
RA import is specialised with Subaru cars.
We have import recently a Lancer EVO8 from USA and we have some problems to just start the engine !
I don't know very well Lancer evo car, so I try to found our problem trought forum and english manual (hard to translate correctly ...)
The car was stolen, and was sell as it (stole return ... don't know if it's the right expression lol).
After spend a couple of hours to understand it's necessary to push the clutch pedal lol (not necessary in France ...) we try to search why the engine does not start ...
Battery is new and starter engine crank but engine don't run.
First, we found than the throttle position sensor is missing ! ... anybody could tell me if without this sensor the car is able to start ??
Some vacum hose are missing too ... you can find picture of what we think is missing :
Thanks for your help !

RE: Start trouble with Lancer EVO8
Hello,
Many thanks for your answer !
So we have located the position of the throttle sensor, it's good.
We've located too the position of the OBDII connector (not easy to find), to read trouble code and others infos, we need the "evoscan" soft, I think we can find it on web.
Maybe others soft are recommended, free and easly to find on web ...
Mistumanpart, could you tell me if our main problem about starting the engine is because this sensor is missing ... ?
Thanks for the MFI shema, we'll check all these components.

Thank you too for your answer.
That what we are thinking, whitout the TPS the ECU can't work correclty.
Sensor already ordered, now just wait a few days ... and I'll report back here.
The fact the car was stolen could make the car is on a secure/immobilize mode ?
I have the key with computer chip ("transpondeur" in french) no prob.
