dont went to the atmosphere, its stupid and your car will run like a bucket. the special lind is a BOV with re-circ kit. the Greddy type s is popular as is the 1G crushed, the 1G is cheap and a good modd for the money.

If you vent it to the atmosohere your car is calculating air that teh BOV is letting go the ECU assumes the air is still there and adds fuel so the car goes super rich every time the BOV opens and will stumble if you allow the rpms to drop to idle after accell under boost, it will cause longer turbo lag between shifts, and it can stall out I have had that happen to me once when VTA for a few miles cause I nedded to weld in a dump off into my intake. VTA is only going to run right if you attempt to tune it out even then it wont be perfect or if you buy a stand alone or GM mas air

That sound is sweet tho I have a stock 2g blow off valve, but i think it was crushed b/c it is extremely loud... But it doesnt have the pull that it should when the turbo spools up...

I think the 1G and type S are similar in Max PSI. not sure of the Max on the 1G but the Typea S is around 25 PSI from what I have read, it is arguable though.

The 1G will cost prob. around $100 or so the type S new from Greddy im sure is $200 something atleast.

sounds like VTA. I dont know for sure but I didnt think crushing made it louder, maybe a dif. sound. A VTA BOV will be extremely loud though

the 1G BOV's hold about 20pounds. i have also herd if you have the 95 computer or MAF that if you vent than you want have a problem with the idle. my buddy has a 95 GST with a 1G BOV that he vents and his has no problems out of it.

For the money i would go with the 1G BOV, but if you have the money to spend than go with the Greddy type s.

Wow high prices. People on my local sd forum sell used type s's for $75 average. You can find a 1g bov for around $20. As for crushing, it does not affect sound. The crushing enables it to hold more boost. A stock 1g bov should be good for 16sih psi, but since its metal, you can crush it and it will hold up to 20-22 psi
