ok i'm looking for new wheels and tires for my 1999 3000GT SL does anyone know the largest size i can get before i have to alter the wheel well? i think it's 19" but im not sure

 

i think you might be able to get 20's in there, but i wouldnt go any bigger than 18 or 19

 

It will take a 20" but, that is tacky go wit the 19" you will be fine. If you get 20" you won't be able to cut your wheel that far.

 

yea ive seen 20s done but i swear to god i dont think i could stick my finger between the tire and the quarterpanel

ive got a 99 3k SL and i put 18s on mine and they are plenty big enough...supposedly mitsubishi made a 3k package that included 18s so i would say the 17s or 18s are a safe bet..if you run anything bigger you are taking a big chance of running over something and messing your car up good
