I am wondering what you guys think of lambo doors on a 99 gsx eclipse. Just tell me what you think becasue i can't figure out if it worth it or not or if it is even guna look kool.

I think it is a case by case basis. Some cars look totally !@#$ing ugly with them, but then again, some cars look pretty sweet.

 

What about gull wing doors?

 

2 me, theres really no point in gettin ne kind of doors for cars....they still do tha 2 same things, open n shut.

 

Well, I am thinking about Lambo doors for my 3000GT, but that is only because I regularly park in 3 different crowded parking lots. Ever seen the 3000GT doors? They are pretty long, open really wide. Lambo doors would greatly help in those crowded parking lots.

 

plus i found out from a friend that has them. you have to cut the underside of the fender, for the door bracket to swing. Even though most kits so "No cutting or drilling" "direct bolt on" Ya right!!

 

Don't do it

pros:
-doors opne like a lambo
-points at a car show

cons:
-when open the doors sway
-doors are highly unsupported
-when closed they might not seal right if you get cheap ones
-after opening and closing for awhile if they don't sit right you will wear away parts of the door jam
-expensive!

 

dont ruin a gsx! damn lambo doors are so overdone in the tuner world

 

Yeah, I agree... on base model cars or things like Civics I can understand and sort of enjoy the flashiness of lambo doors. But a GSX? Save that money and put some more power down to all four wheels!
