Default Powder Coat this!

Ok so, i posted this pic in the Newb forums, but, now i want some high-class opinion (not the one from people who try to "tune" tempo's and escorts) These are my rims, (motegi mr2) and they came with the car when i got them, amazingly the old owner managed to do quite some nice scratching, so question is... powder coating? and if its yes... where do i get such treatment in a small city? a body shop? Any help is ****ing greatly appreciated

Well we have on thing in common... pointless swearing.. amen.

Anyways... you can do it yourself if you have the ***** to give it a shot. Most of the time it turns out horrible but thats because people rushed the preping process. You have to clean the crap out of them and spray the paint very very lightly.

Alternativly you could get it done at a shop.

you cant do powder coating yourself. Cuz there is a special process with that which involves heating the paint. However you can "paint" the rims and if you do a good job and take your time they can come out good. You just use spray paint and clear coat to give them a glossy look. and protect them. but its not all that difficult to do yourself.

Yeah i know, ive thought about it, in fact the clear coating at the last end makes paint look better, does it come matte though? cuz i wouldnt like any glossy rims, these ones arent and i really liked the color but theyre ****ing scratched as hell

well if your looking into powder coating that isnt gonna be matte at all. That will be even more glossy and shiny than the regular paint. My buddy painted his rims, ill try and get some before and after pics for you.
